Esmatullah Muradi, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said that clashes erupted after the Taliban last night stormed security outposts in PD2 of Kunduz city.
The clashes left at least ten of the militants killed and another six wounded.
Meanwhile, in a military operation carried out by Afghan forces in Imam Sahib district of the province, three Taliban insurgents were killed and two others wounded.
The Taliban haven’t commented so far.
