Coronavirus in Afghanistan: 24 New COVID-19 Cases Reported

Afghanistan’s coronavirus count hit 38,544 as 24 additional COVID-19 cases were reported over the past 24 hours.

The country’s total number of COVID-19 recoveries stood at 30,537 on Wednesday, with 332 COVID-19 patients cured so far.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll stood at 1,420 as the Afghan ministry of health reported two new deaths in the past 24 hours.

The new cases were registered in Ghor (13), followed by the capital Kabul (9), Kandahar (1) and Laghman (1).

More than 27.5 million people around the world have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and 897,383 have died. More than 18.5 million people have recovered.
