Local officials in Laghman announced at least 25 Taliban were killed and another eight injured in Afghan forces’ air strikes carried out last night in Alisheng district of the province.
Assadullah Dawlatzai, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said five of the Taliban insurgents owned laser weapons.
The air strikes were carried out last night after the armed Taliban stormed security outposts.
The group has yet to comment.
