Yesterday, a mortar shell hit a residential house in Shirzad district of the eastern Nangarhar province, leaving at least six civilians killed.
Speaking to TKG, Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said five children and one woman were killed in the attack while another four children were wounded.
It was not clear where mortar shell was fired from, but Zabihullah Mujahed, a Taliban spokesman blamed government forces.
