A bomb placed by the Taliban in Tolak district of Ghor province went off last night, leaving one child killed, said Sami Nezhad, a police spokesman.
Another bomb blew up today in Dawlatyar district of the province, killing at least three civilians, he added.
The spokesman for the provincial police, meanwhile, said at least 200 bombs placed by the Taliban have been defused within the past five months.
The insurgent group has not commented so far.
