Coronavirus: Afghanistan Sees 12% Drop in Cases

COVID-19 cases contracted by 12% over the past one week, said Akmal Samsor, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health addressing a press conference.

According to the data provided by health ministry’s spokesman, coronavirus total case count hit 38,243 as 40 additional COVID-19 cases were reported over the past 24 hours.

The country’s total number of COVID-19 deaths stood at 1,409, with 29,315 COVID-19 patients cured so far.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has hit 1,409, as three patients having been infected with the disease died within the past 24 hours, according to a tally of data released by the health ministry.

Another statistic also indicated rise: the number of recoveries hit 29,315 as 61 patients got better after the illness.
