Coronavirus: Brazil Becomes Second Country with over 100,000 Deaths

Brazil has become the second country behind the United States to pass 100,000 deaths of coronavirus, according to its Ministry of Health.

With more than 1,000 deaths a day for several weeks, Brazil has recorded to be the second country with 100,477 COVID-19 related deaths.

The new cases of COVID-19 pushed the total case count to 3,012,412 infections while the death toll hit 100,477 as the country recorded 905 deaths within the previous 24 hours.

After the United States, Brazil is the second worst-affected country. According to the data provided by Reuters coronavirus map, the United States cases of infection has hit 2,231, 5,014,339 with a total of 162,105 deaths.

More than 19.6 million people across the globe have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 725,334 have died of the disease which first appeared in the Chinese central city of Wuhan.
