A man shot dead his wife in the Qala-e-Fatullah area of Kabul city, at around 8:45a.m., today, said Ferdaws Faramarz, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, adding the woman’s husband has been arrested by police.
The motive of the woman’s husband wasn’t clear, according to Mr. Faramarz, and an investigation into the incident was ongoing.
Criminal activity has been on the rise in Afghanistan and it sees spike in roadside and home robbery cases all across the country, triggering people’s deep concern.
The security officials, however, speak of their attempts to reduce and deter crime and criminals.
