Coronavirus: Brazil Becomes Second Country with over One Million Cases

With more than 54,000 new confirmed coronavirus deaths within the last 24 hours, Brazil has recorded to be the second country with over one million cases of coronavirus.

The new cases pushed the total cases of infection to 1,032,913 while the death toll hit 48,954 as the country recorded more than a thousand deaths for the fourth days in a row.

After the United States, Brazil is the second worst-affected country. According to the data provided by Reuters coronavirus map, the United States cases of infection has hit 2,231,325 with a total of 119,109 deaths.

Earlier this month, the Brazilian President Jair Bolsenaro threatened to quit the World Health Organization, blaming it for “ideological bias” against the drugs.
