A total of 1,897,838 people have been infected with the coronavirus across the United States, while the country’s total deaths stood at 109,143, according to the data collated by John Hopkins University.
In Brazil, which has now the second highest number of coronavirus cases, the total of confirmed infections have risen to 707,412, with 37,134 fatalities, the source added.
Russia, the third country with the highest number of infections has so far registered 476,043 coronavirus cases and 5,963 related deaths.
Russia is then followed by the United Kingdom with a total of 288,834 cases of infection as of today and 40,680 related deaths, a second country with largest number of coronavirus deaths.
Then it is followed respectively by India (266,598), Spain (241,717), and Italy (235,278), with more than two hundred thousand cases of the novel coronavirus.
