Brazil has recorded 807 deaths over the past 24 hours, while a total of 620 fatalities were registered in the United States.
As of today, Brazil’s death tally stood at 23,473, whereas the United States hits nearly 100,000 with 98,063 total confirmed deaths, according to a tally by Reuters.
After the United States, Brazil is second worst-affected country. According to the data provided by Reuters coronavirus map, the United States cases of infection has hit 1,667,468 while Brazil comes second with 374,898 total cases.
Brazil is now increasingly becoming the primary hotspot of coronavirus, as the World Health organization (WHO) announced Friday that South America has become a new epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.
