Khalil Aseer, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, confirmed to The Killid Group that last night at around 1:00am, local time, two outposts of the pro-government forces came under the armed Taliban’s attack.
The armed attack took place in the Lalaguzar area of Khwaja Bahahuddin district of the province, leaving at least nine pro-government forces killed and six others injured, he added.
The clash lasted for one and half hours and has also left casualties to the Taliban, Aseer said without elaborating on the number of militants killed and/or injured.
The armed Taliban have not commented so far.
