Early today morning, a vehicle rigged with explosives blew up near an intelligence agency unit in Ghazni’s PD4, Tareq Arian, a spokesman for the ministry Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed.
The deadly attack has left seven of the unit’s security personnel killed and 40 others injured, said Wahidullah Jumazadah, a spokesman for the provincial governor.
Eight of the security personnel injured in the blast were in unstable health condition and were taken to the capital Kabul, Jumazadah added.
The armed Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
Zabihullah Mujahed, a spokesman for the Taliban insurgents, in a statement confirmed the group was behind the bomb blast.
