May 12 (The Killid Group) – India has recorded a total of 70,756 coronavirus cases, world media reported.
The daily rise in the number of infections was sharply high, indicating a 3,000 increase in cases since Monday, media reported.
Media latest data related to the pandemic, however, indicated that at least 2,293 infected patients have died of the virus, while the total nationwide recoveries stands at 22,454.
As many other countries, India also remains under coronavirus lockdown restrictions, but the government is gradually easing the imposed restrictions in some low-risk areas.
Borders, however, are shut and flights are suspended in the country.
