May 02 (The Killid Group) – Since February, the Taliban have been ramping up their deadly assaults across the country, leaving at least 1,000 civilians killed and/or injured, said a spokesman for the ministry of interior.
Addressing a press conference, Tariq Arian the interior ministry spokesman said that at least 378 civilians have been killed, 590 injured and nearly 200 of them abducted by the armed Taliban since the February of the ongoing year.
Tariq, on the other hand, added that during this period of time, at least 1,400 Taliban militants have been killed and/or injured by Afghan Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF).
The Taliban have returned to offensive position on the battlefield against Afghan forces, accusing the U.S. of not upholding the deal signed between them and the United States.
