April 28 (The Killid Group) – The President of United States Donald J. Trump told his security and military advisers to pull all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan, according to senior U.S. officials.

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) – an American news agency – quoted two current and a former senior U.S. officials saying that the U.S. President’s call for the withdrawal of troops has come due to his concern that the coronavirus threatens lives of thousands of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, said officials adding, the halting progress of the U.S. peace deal signed with the Taliban has also made him impatient.

In a report by NBC news, the U.S. senior officials said that President Trump complains almost daily that country’s forces are still in a war-ravaged place and are now vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Analysts, however, believe that it prods the Afghan government to speed up the stalled peace process and the political leaders to end their dispute.

Bashir Bezhan, an Afghan political figure, said the United States has failed to end a political feud rooted from last year’s election; therefore, it puts further pressure on the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his political foe to break the ongoing impasse.

Meanwhile, military analyst Zabihullah Azizi said the U.S. has a leading role in shaping a government and political structure in Afghanistan. Now it pulls its troops out of the country, and the move is intended to put pressure on Afghan leaders to settle the political crisis and focus their attention on moving the peace process forward.

But political analyst Bashir Bezhan believes that a full withdrawal of U.S. can have dangerous consequences.

The United States is threatening to withdraw all its troops as insurgents’ dead-dealing attacks in Afghanistan have been escalated in the recent few days.
