April 2 (The Killid Group) − At least 43 more cases of infection from COVID-19, were recorded in Afghanistan, said the health ministry officials.
Dr. Waheedullah Mayar, the spokesman of the public health ministry said on Wednesday night, 43 more infection cases of the COVID-19 pandemic were recorded in Herat and Kabul, bringing the infection toll to 239 in the country.
Of the total cases of infection over the past 24 hours, 41 cases have been confirmed in the Western province of Herat which marks the country’s worst-hit province, and two more were detected in Kabul, said Mayar, adding that the total 41 new cases in Herat includes 17 women and 24 men.
So far, four patients having been contracted with the novel coronavirus have died and ten others have recovered, according to the data provided by health ministry.
The coronavirus, which first appeared in China, has spread to more than a hundred countries around the world, and so far, has killed thousands of people and endangered the lives of many others.
