Pakistan Reopens Chaman Crossing Border

19 March (The Killid Group) – Chaman crossing point was reopened after it was shut amid the spread of the pandemic coronavirus.

The embassy of Pakistan in Kabul announced, the country’s government has reopened the Chaman-Spin Boldak crossing after Dr. Abdullah urged the Pakistani Ambassador to relay his message to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pakistan’s decision to close the border with Afghanistan came after Kabul confirmed its first case of the coronavirus with several others being tested for the diseases.

The decision to shut the border was taken as precautionary measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The Chaman border crossing is one of the major border crossings between Afghanistan and Pakistan which was closed on March 1 for one-week amid the coronavirus outbreak.
