(TKG) — The death toll from China’s outbreak of the new coronavirus has reached to 259, the Chinese government told media on Saturday, February 1.
According to the health officials in China as saying to media, at least 259 people have died and 11,791 people have been infected across China by the new coronavirus. Most of the latest fatalities are from Hubei province.
The coronavirus, which first emerged in China’s central city of Wuhan is believed to have originated late last year from illegally traded wildlife at a market in Wuhan.
The virus has spread rapidly across the world and the countries – including the United States – have tightened restrictions on travellers from China in response to the rapid spread of the illness.
So far, there have been no confirmed cases of the deadly virus in Afghanistan.
