(TKG) − News agencies across the world reported the latest updates of China coronavirus as saying, so far the virus, which initially began in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, killed 170 people in the country and infected more than 7,800 globally, most of them in China.
The outbreak of a new coronavirus that began in Wuhan, the capital of China’s central province of Hubei, has so far killed 170 in China and infected more than 7,800 across the world.
The countries of Thailand reported 14 cases of infection; Japan 11 cases, Hong Kong and Singapore each 10 cases, Taiwan 8 cases, Malaysia, Macau and Australia seven cases.
The cases of infection have been also reported in the United States and some European countries as U.S. and France each confirmed five cases and Germany reported four cases.
No deaths have been reported outside China, Reuters news agency reported.
No cases of infection, however, has been so far reported in Afghanistan yet has raised concerns among Afghan people as some of the Afghan students in Wuhan were, reportedly, among the infected.
The newly unidentified coronavirus is believed to have emerged late last year from illegally traded wildlife at a market in Chinese central city of Wuhan.
