(TKG) — Media reported, U.S. President Donald Trump announced details of his administration’s long-awaited middle east peace plan on Tuesday [January 29, 2020] with the aim of giving an end to the Israel-Palestine tensions.
President Trump said on Tuesday that his Middle East peace proposal charts a course to two states for Israelis and Palestinians, acknowledging it would be a tough sell to Palestinians and others.
Trump led his statement by introducing the Israeli side of the plan, announcing that Jerusalem would remain the “undivided capital” of Israel, adding that this has “already been done”.
He proposed a two-state solution and said no Israelis or Palestinians would be uprooted from their homes.
Standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, President Trump said his plan “could be the last opportunity” for Palestinians.
The proposal was welcomed by the Israelis, however, it was denounced by the Palestinians as Mahoud Abbas, the Palestine Authority leader rejects Trump peace outline in speech to Palestinian leaders, saying “Jerusalem is not for sale.”
PA leader further said that “We say a thousand times: No, no and no to the deal of the century.”
