(TKG) ─ According to news portals, at least seven people were killed and 25 more injured in a grenade blast in Sudan’s capital Khartoum late on Monday [January 20, 2020].
According to media reports, a grenade went off in a residential building in Khartoum’s Shegla neighborhood during a wedding ceremony late on Monday, as a result of which seven people were killed and 25 others injured.
Media reported that the victims were transferred to several hospitals in the capital.
It was further reported that the incident took place due to a fight between two people, with one of them throwing a hand grenade.
Police have, reportedly, arrived at the place and the investigations have been underway.
