(TKG) — Media reported, officials of five countries met in U.K. to urge compensation for the families of Iran crash victims.
According to media reports, the officials of Canada, Afghanistan, U.K., Sweden and Ukraine met in U.K. on Thursday [January 16, 2020] to urge Iran for paying compensations for the families of Iran crash victims.
A statement issued after a meeting of officials in London as saying, Iran should hold a “thorough, independent and transparent international investigation open to grieving nations,” sources added.
The Ukrainian Airliner Boeing 737 was hit by a missile on January 8 shortly after takeoff toward Kyiv as a result of which all aboard were killed.
Despite initially denying, Iran admitted on Saturday that it had shot down a Ukraine International Airlines plane ‘unintentionally.’
