(TKG) — Iran, reportedly, has announced the first arrests in bringing down the Ukrainian airliner.

Iran’s judiciary has announced the arrests of an unspecified number of suspects involved in the accidental downing of the Ukrainian airliner exactly during US-Iran tension last week.

Iran’s state media reported, Gholamhossein Esmaili the spokesperson of Iran’s judiciary said on Tuesday [January 14, 2020] that “extensive investigations have taken place and some individuals are arrested.”

He did not offer further details.

According to media reports, one of the detainees was the one who filmed the missile shooting down the airliner.

The Ukrainian Boeing 737, as reportedly, was ‘unintentionally’ shot down by a missile last week as a result of which all the passengers and the crew on the board were killed.
