(TKG) ─ A new video released by media has shown that the Ukrainian airliner was hit by two military missiles.

It was reported by media as saying, a new video surfaced shows that two missiles struck Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752, that crashed shortly after takeoff from the airport in Tehran early last Wednesday [January 08, 2020].

It is indicated in the video that one missile hitting the plane, which appeared to result in a small explosion, followed by the second missile strike about 30 seconds later, media reported.

According to the New York Times as reporting, the first missile strike disabled the plane’s transponder (a device for receiving a radio signal and automatically transmitting a different signal) before it was hit by the second missile.

Earlier, statements by U.S., UK, and Canada and a video released on Friday showed that the plane was shot down by a missile, a conclusion initially denied by Iran.

Later on Saturday, Revolutionary Guards aerospace commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh acknowledged a missile had ‘mistakenly‘ brought down the plane.
