(TKG) ─ According to media reports, an enormous sinkhole in central China left at least six people dead and 16 more injured.
A giant sinkhole swallowed a bus and a number of pedestrians outside a hospital in Xining city of China on Monday [January 13, 2020] as a result of which six people have been killed and 16 more injured.
Footage released by CCTV showed that an explosion occurred inside the sinkhole shortly after the bus and the pedestrians fell inside.
The footage released from the latest incident indicated that the moment people waiting at a bus stop were forced to flee as the ground underneath the bus starts to cave in.
A number of people gathered to try to rescue the bus passengers, but were swallowed by the sinkhole as it suddenly widened.
Recently, several deadly sinkholes have been reported in China.
