(TKG) ─ Iranian media reported, at least 35 people have been killed and more than 40 others have been injured in a stampede as Iranians gathered for Qassem Soleimani’s burial.
According to the reports, hundreds of thousands of people had gathered in Kerman for the burial of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, during which dozens of people have been killed and wounded as a result of a stampede.
Pirhossein Koulivand, the head of Iran’s emergency medical services, earlier confirmed the incident by a telephone conversation with Iran state TV.
He said that as a result of a stampede during the funeral of Iranian commander, dozens of mourners have been killed and injured.
