The U.S. Congress announced on Tuesday [December 17, 2019] to provide Israel with $500 million grant in missile defense appropriations.
The money is allocated to strengthen the Israeli missile system as well as to thwart a diverse range of threats in the region.
Previously, U.S. has always demonstrated strong support to Israel missile defense projects.
Iran along with a number of Arabic countries have expressed particular concerns over U.S. aids to Israel, calling it as a threat to the region.
However, U.S. and Israeli government have dismissed this concern.
