It has been reported that the security forces of China and Pakistan begin bilateral military exercises in Pakistan in the near term.
It was quoted in a statement issued by China’s Defense Ministry on Wednesday [December 4, 2019] as saying that Chinese troops are preparing to leave toward Pakistan.
The purpose of these exercises is to increase bilateral military cooperation as well as counterterrorism efforts, the source said.
This is the seventh time that Chinese and Pakistani forces are conducting joint military exercises on counterterrorism.
China and Pakistan currently have an economic corridor valuing $56 billion which is under construction.
The aforementioned project refers to the historic Silk Road between China and the West.
