KANDAHAR (The Killid Group) – At least three members of NATO’s Resolute Support mission were wounded in an attack by an Afghan security force in Kandahar.
The Resolute Support said in a statement that one of its convoy was stormed in Kandahar by a member of the Afghan Civil Order Police, inflicting injuries to at least three members of the convoy, but they did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
The attacker was, however, taken down in a feedback firing, the statement said.
“We are reviewing the incident with our Afghan security partners,” the statement said. “Resolute Support continuously assesses force protection measures and we adapt and adjust based on the environment,” as local media quoted.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying the force was of his group members that targeted Unites States convoy.
