KABUL (The Killid Group) – Taliban insurgents are the main cause for civilian casualties all throughout Afghanistan, as they continuously shell themselves in houses of local residentas, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
The Taliban are hosting foreign terrorists in the country, which should be stopped, the statement said. The group should end target killings and civilian casualties, perhaps face government for a comprehensive talk.
The Palace expressed it regretted the loss of civilians in Musa Qala district of Helmand province as a result of security forces operations, adding Helmand governor had been instructed to investigate the incident.
Civilian casualties are one of the tragedies of war that is unacceptable and intolerable for the government of Afghanistan.
The Palace’s (also ARG) remarks came after Afghan security force on Sunday evening carried an operation in Takhte Pul district of Musa Qala, killing at least 25 members of Al-Qaeda terrorists and arrested further six members.
But local residents, including the Taliban claimed Afghan forces raided a wedding ceremony in the province, inflicting casualties to civilians.
