GHOOR (The Killid) – A roadside mine claimed at least seven children and injured one, as it exploded in Dowlatyar district of Ghoor, local authorities confirmed.
Abdulhay Khatbi, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, told The Killid, “the incident happened yesterday (Saturday) at Samk village of Dowlatyar district.”
Victims are between 5-15 years old.
According to Khatbi, the mine was previously laid by the Taliban insurgents in the area, targeting Afghan security forces.
Meanwhile, in another news, the Spokesman confirmed dead of local doctor as saying, he “was an employee to CHA (Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance), who was killed by the Taliban along the way to his home in Feroz Koh, center of Ghoor.”
Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
