FARAH (The Killid) – Farah clashes claimed at least one Afghan National Army member and further five wounded, local authorities said.
Mohibullah Mohib, Spokesman for the local police, said to The Killid, “last night (Sunday), the Taliban attacked against Afghan National Army and Police posts at Ganjabad district of Bala Blook.”
At least one Afghan National Army members killed and five further wounded, he added.
According to Mohib, some 20 Taliban insurgents, including two of their commanders Mowlawi Ziauddin and Mowlawi Sayed Ahad, killed during the clashes and further 18 wounded.
The commanders played vital role in carrying attacks against Afghan security posts, Mohib explained.
Forces also have discovered and seized a great amount of arms and ammunitions, according to Mohib.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
Bala Blook is one of the most insecure areas in Farah province, where the Taliban has a huge influences.
