Iranian Officials Suspend Shopping Center after Bias

IRAN – Attorney General in Iran suspended a shopping center after discrimination, as its doors were kept closed for Afghan refugees of making any trade or purchase.

It comes after a video circulating on social media went viral and attracted a large audience – mostly from Iran and Afghanistan – which shows a written sign on the door of the shop in Nazar Abad of Alborz province as saying “Entry of Afghan national into this store is prohibited”.

Now the store is shot off by the country’s Attorney General until further notice.

The owner of the store is called for an apology to the Afghans, as well as a special offer of at least 30 percent discount on selected items for three months.

Meanwhile, the officials urged the owner of the store to have a closer look and value the bilateral relationship of both Afghanistan and Iran since many decades, and asked to have background study for his further knowledge.
