United States President Donald Trump will travel to South Korea in June for talks on the North Korean nuclear program, the White House has said, making a second visit since the failed summit with North’s leader in Vietnam early this year.
According to the White House’s statement on Wednesday, Trump would meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in in conjunction with his trip to Japan to attend a G20 summit in Osaka on June 28-29.
“President Trump and President Moon will continue their close coordination on efforts to achieve the final, fully verified denuclearisation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” the statement said, using North Korea’s official name, Aljazeera reported.
