Herat (The Killid) – A Taliban self-proclaimed district governor, including four of his members, were killed in a battle with Public Uprising Forces in western province, local authorities confirmed.
Abdul Ahad Wali Zada, Spokesman for the provincial police, said to The Killid, “Mullah Nadem, a Taliban self-proclaimed governor for Koh Zor district, including four of his men, were killed following attacks by the Public Uprising Forces at Safedan district of Farsi.
According to Wali Zada, Mullah Nadem and his men have shifted to Farsi in cooperation with the Taliban militants.
It comes after weeks of rising conflicts between the PUF and the militants in several parts of the Northern provinces, leading a widespread concerns amongst residents in the area.

A number of residents in a phone interview with The Killid said. “Many families have left their residences due to ongoing war and are settling up on the mountains.
Meanwhile, security officials said their team has been dispatched to different locations, insuring people’s security and peaceful environment.
Taliban did not comment on the claim.
