SAR-E-PUL (The Killid) – Taliban raided a number of Afghan security posts at Palakhman Tappa district of Sozma Qala in Northern Province, provincial officials said in a statement.

At least eight Afghan security forces have been killed, including injuries, and sis further have been captured by the armed opposition groups.

Zabiullah Ammani, spokesperson for the provincial governor, said to The Killid, “Based on the preliminary figures, at least five of the Afghan security forces were killed, three further wounded and six other have been captured by opposition groups.”

Ammani further said six of the militants were also killed, including another who suffered injuries.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Noor Rahmani, head for the provincial council, said a number of armed insurgents have last night raided several security posts in Sozma Qala and burn at least one post of the 209th Shaheen Corps to the ground after they gained control over.

According to Rahmini, Taliban has also put two Hamvi military vehicles on fire, seizing all available facilities in it.

Local authorities doubt backed up security forces and their facilities in the province, while urging for a profound consideration and cooperation in the area.
