United States Senator Bernie Sanders, depicting on America’s role on the 18-year war in Afghanistan and Middle East, said “the American people do not want endless war”.
“American troops have been in Afghanistan for nearly 18 years, Iraq since 2003 and in Syria since 2015,” Sanders tweeted on Monday. “The American people do not want endless war.”

Senders’ remark comes at a time as the US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and the Taliban delegations are leading the fifth round of peace negotiations in Doha, Qatar since last week.
Both sides have reached to some level of agreement on modality of US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, sources close to Taliban said.
Meanwhile, Taliban repeatedly refused to seat on a round table with Afghan government for discussing peace process in the country. Thus, as both sides of the talks agreed, Afghan politicians and people from different layers of the society came up to introduce an inclusive team, which will represent Afghan government in the peace process.
The Presidential Palace urges final agreement on any topic concerning peace in the country will be determined by the Afghan government.
