The second summit between US President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ended with no agreement, but talks between the two nation will continue in the future.
“No agreement was reached at this time, but their respective teams look forward to meeting in the future,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.
Trump and Kim departed the hotel, where they’ve been holding summit negotiations, far earlier than planned. A joint agreement signing ceremony was scrapped.

Hanoi, Vietnam – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said on Thursday he would not be in Vietnam for second summit with US President Donald Trump if he was not prepared to pursue the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
“If I’m not willing to do that, I won’t be here right now,” Kim responded when asked by a US reporter whether he is willing to denuclearize.
Trump told reporters that’s what the two are discussing during their second day of talks.
In answers to reporters’ questions during his meeting with Trump, Kim also said he would welcome the idea of putting a US liaison office in the North’s capital, Pyongyang.
The comments came as the two met with an expanded coterie of aides, including U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and national security adviser John Bolton.
However, Trump and Kim departed the hotel, where they’ve been holding summit negotiations, far earlier than planned. Trump was scheduled to hold a news conference two hours earlier than originally scheduled before he departs Hanoi.
North Korea Leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Vietnam for his second summit with US President Donald Trump, marking it the second face-to-face summit after the first in Singapore last June.
