Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, at a religious awarding ceremony “Siratul Nabi”, in Kabul today said when it is time for peace, no word can stop obtaining it.
Nothing and no debate can justify the crime and occupation of the Soviet Union (Dec. 1979-Feb. 1989) in Afghanistan, he added. “When it is really time for peace, I believe that no word can hinder obtaining peace. But if there is an excuse or something; that is another case.”
According to Abdullah, countries that do not want peace in Afghanistan have a clear calculation; but the calculation (careful thought and planning) for Afghan government and the people should be putting an end to the 40 years of war and violence in the country.
He expressed hope saying, the peace that Afghans are looking for, will be achieved.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, at a ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of Soviet Union withdrawal from Afghanistan on Friday, said that terrorism is inappropriate and unaccepted in all religion and law.
