INDIA – A 27-year-old Indian tends to sue his parents for giving birth to him without his consent.
Rapheal Samuel, Mumbai businessman said it is wrong to live a lifelong suffering course just because you are born.
Samuel, however, understands that our consent cannot be sought before birth, but insists that “it was not our decision to be born”.
A controversial case which could bring any family to a bigger challenge, but Samuel exclaims he gets along very well with his parents and they seem to be dealing with humor.
“I must admire my son’s temerity to want to take his parents to court knowing both of us are lawyers. And if Raphael could come up with a rational explanation as to how we could have sought his consent to be born, I will accept my fault,” his mother Kavita Karnad Samuel responded in a statement.
Meanwhile, Samuel’s demand on social media has attracted floods of reaction, “some positive, but mostly negative” to the point some advising him to “go kill yourself”.
Asked if he is unhappy being born. “I wish I was not born. But it’s not that I’m unhappy in my life. My life is good, but I’d rather not be here. You know it’s like there’s a nice room, but I don’t want to be in that room,” he explains.
