Two Security Checkpoints Collapsed to Taliban in Baghlan

The Shahin 209th Corps says two security checkpoints have been collapsed to Taliban after militants attacked on Mangalab area of central Baghlan district.

Muhammad Hanif Rezai, the Shahin 209th Corps told Killid that at least seven security forces were killed during Taliban’s raids on the checkpoints.

Rezai noted another 28 national army soldiers are gone missing after the clashes and their faith is not clear so far.

However, sources in Baghlan province confirmed that at least 38 national army soldiers and seven police soldiers were killed in last night’s attack on security checkpoints.

Taliban insurgents have seized all the equipment and burned down the checkpoints after capturing them, sources added.

In the meantime, the Taliban group in a statement claimed to capture three security checkpoints in their last night attack.

The statement added that 30 national army and police forces were killed during the attacks.
