Afghan security forces thwarted Taliban’s attack on Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province which was conducted Friday night.
The spokesman of Takhar Police, Khalil Aseer told Killid that the Taliban militants attacked the Khwaja Ghar district last night which was thwarted by security forces after one and half hour of clashes.
According to Aseer, the security forces and Taliban insurgents have not suffered any casualties in the incident.
However, the spokesman of Taliban group, Zabiullah Mujahed claimed that the group’s fighters were succeeded to take the control of Khwaja Ghar after attacking the district.
In the meantime, the spokesman of Takhar Police has rejected Mujahed’s claim.
Khalil Aseer further added that the overall situation of Khwaja Ghar district is under full control of security forces.
