At least 12 Taliban insurgents were killed and six injured in Afghan forces’ air and ground operations in Nad Ali and Greshk districts of Helmand province.
A press release from Maiwand 215 Military Corps stated that the operations were carried out by Afghan forces over the past 24 hours in the districts.
The statement added that 15 different types of mines were also discovered and defused during the operations.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
