30 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Faryab

Security officials in Faryab said that 30 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 20 injured in clashes with Afghan security forces in Gorzewan district.

Security officials in Faryab said that 30 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 20 injured in clashes with Afghan security forces in Gorzewan district.
Karim Yorish, spokesman for Faryab police, told Killid that Taliban militants sustained heavy casualties in clashes with Afghan forces in Ghoeban area of Gorzewan yesterday evening.
Yorish added that Taliban insurgents control 25 percent of the district and clashes are still underway between Taliban insurgents and Afghan forces.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
