At least five people were killed and seven injured in a traffic accident in Rodat district of Nangarhar province.
Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, told Killid that the incident happened around 7:00 am today in Sorkhdewal area of the district when two Corolla Toyota vehicles collided with each other.
He added among those killed are three children and one woman.
Over-speeding, non-compliance with traffic rules, and road damage are the main cases of such incidents.
