Polio Immunisation Campaign Begins in Afghanistan

Ministry of Public Health announced that a new five-day polio campaign will begin today across the country.
A press release from Ministry of Public Health stated that the campaign will immunise nearly 10 million children under the age of five in 34 provinces.
Ferozuddin Feroz, health minister, urged families to vaccinate their children against polio.
Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria are the only countries where polio is still prevalent.
