President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah condemned today’s suicide attack in Kabul in the strongest terms.
A press release from ARG (Presidential Palace) stated that targeting civilians, journalists, and freedom of speech is a war crime and against Islamic principles.
Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah also condemned the attack and said, “Attack on media is attack on democracy and an effort to silence the voice of voiceless.”
At least 27 people were killed and nearly 47 others were wounded in two explosions in the kabul city on Monday, Ministry of Public Health confirmed.
The first explosion happened at about 8am – a second one happened at the scene of the first blast just 20 minutes later.
