At least six Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and seven policemen were killed in Taliban attack on several check posts in Qads district last night.
Abdullah Afzali, deputy provincial council head, told Killid that Taliban militants attacked the district from three directions, killing 13 Afghan security members.
Afzali said that Taliban militants totally overran Langar area of Qads district and killed one policeman.
He added that six policemen were killed in Jowala area of the district and six army soldiers were killed nearby Qala-e-Naw, provincial capital.
Killid tried to interview provincial security officials but no information was made available.
