At least eight armed anti-government insurgents were killed in Afghan security forces’ operation codenamed ‘Kokcha 18’ in Jorm district of Badakhshan province.
A press release from Shaheen 209 Military corps stated that the operation was conducted in Farghameroe area of the district.
The statement added that a Humvee tank, a heavy weapon, and three hideouts of insurgents were destroyed.
Armed anti-government groups are yet to comment on the statement.
